Beeky

Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026

These terms are between you and Matteo La Barbera, an individual developer in the United Kingdom who makes Beeky (“I”, “me”). By creating a Beeky account you agree to them. How your data is handled is in the privacy policy.

Who can use Beeky

Beeky is for beekeepers aged 13 or over. You need an account, and you are responsible for keeping its password to yourself.

The service

Beeky is free. It is provided as it is, and I may change it, add limits to it, or stop it. If I am going to stop Beeky, I will tell you in the app at least 30 days before, so you can export your records.

Check what Beeky writes

Beeky uses AI to turn what you say into a written record. It can mishear and it can be wrong. Read each record and correct it before you rely on it.

You remain responsible for your own legal records and duties. That includes keeping veterinary medicine records for five years, and telling the National Bee Unit or your local bee inspector straight away if you suspect a notifiable disease or pest. Beeky can flag words that may point to one, but it cannot identify disease and it does not report anything for you.

Fair use

Don’t misuse Beeky: don’t try to reach other people’s data, overload or attack the service, or use it for anything unlawful. Beeky has daily limits on how much audio it writes up and how many forecasts it fetches, to keep it working for everyone. I may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Your records

Your records, recordings and notes are yours. You let me store, process and show them only to provide Beeky to you, as the privacy policy describes. You can export them from Records → Export and delete them, or your whole account, at any time.

Google Maps

Beeky’s maps use Google Maps. Your use of them is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, because Beeky is free, I am not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss of records you could have kept by exporting them. Keep your own copy of anything you are legally required to keep.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and the app will tell you about any change that affects you.
